Job Description:

Assists LAN Administrators with daily activities to include troubleshooting level 1 issues, hardware and software deployments. Assist with the monthly patching process and participate in. IT Intern will learn and develop skills in information technology to include deploying images, system wide back up of data and networking of computers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain software and hardware on Windows systems. Monitor IT helpdesk ticketing system and ensure tickets are resolved within reasonable timeframe.

  • Perform level one troubleshooting of workstations and other peripherals. Utilize management tools to deploy, monitor and debug desktop applications through-out the enterprise.

  • Assist administrators with performing system wide backup and maintenance functions.

  • Assist in updating user and technical documentation. Maintaining the hardware inventory.

  • Participate in IT projects to assist in research and follow internal change management methodology by adhering to documentation and production change control processes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures.

  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Experience

  • No direct experience required. 

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Candidate must be a student in good academic currently enrolled in an IT related degree program.

Skills

  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.

  • Work involves personal contact with others both inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information, as well as updating or referring, which typically require short discussions.

  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, and repair personnel for both in person and by telephone.

  • Effectively explain technical processes and issues to non-technical personnel.
