Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas. Meals on Wheels Midland Care’s Meals on Wheels program in Topeka, Kansas, is a vital service that delivers hot, nutritious meals and wellness-checks to homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities in Shawnee, Jefferson, and Douglas counties. The program prioritizes individuals at high nutritional risk and is not income-based, allowing anyone who meets the age or homebound criteria to participate.  With the help of hundreds of volunteers who deliver meals Monday–Friday, Midland Care supports independence, reduces social isolation, and ensures older adults receive balanced meals in the comfort of their homes. Driver Responsible for delivering hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities along an assigned route. Beyond simply dropping off food, drivers provide an essential safety check—briefly interacting with each client to ensure they are safe and well. They may report any concerns or changes in a client’s condition to program staff. Drivers help maintain delivery logs, follow food-safety guidelines, and represent the program with kindness and reliability. Their work supports clients’ independence and helps reduce isolation by offering a friendly, consistent point of contact. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to interact compassionately with clients Preferred Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting First aid/CPR certification Previous experience working with seniors or vulnerable populations What’s in it for you?
