INTERSTATES IS GROWING, and we are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support receiving, inventory management, and shipping operations. This role is responsible for unloading and inspecting incoming materials, preparing outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong computer skills, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming materials and shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare, package, and ship finished goods while ensuring company quality standards are met.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store materials safely. (Forklift certification provided if needed.)
  • Manage and coordinate on-time deliveries and shipment schedules.
  • Track inventory movements, maintain accurate records, and assist with inventory control activities.
  • Utilize computer systems and inventory management software to document transactions and maintain inventory accuracy. Experience with Smartsheet or similar inventory software is preferred.
  • Maintain shipping supplies, organize work areas, and assist with light vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • Support a safe, efficient, and team-focused work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience.
  • Strong computer skills required; experience with inventory management systems, Smartsheet experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
