The OpportunityÂ
We're looking for a Test Technician III to join our team as a skilled, hands-on contributor to complex hardware testing and validation. This role is well-suited for an experienced technician who can independently execute test campaigns, troubleshoot integrated systems, and support prototype builds in a fast-paced R&D environment. You'll work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams on programs that matter.Â
Requirements
What You'll Do
- Independently execute test procedures for components and systems, including functional, thermal, vibration, and EMI/EMC testing; set up and monitor data acquisition systems, log results, and escalate anomalies
- Identify test failures and assist in root cause analysis; diagnose mechanical, electrical, or cabling issues using schematics, tools, and test data, and recommend corrective actions to engineering teams
- Perform precision assembly of cables, enclosures, and subsystems; conduct mechanical fit checks, apply RTV, and perform minor machining or rework as needed
- Support mobile testing and field deployments, including logistics, hardware setup, data collection, and UAS operations at range or real-world test environments
- Maintain accurate test logs, redline procedures, and track configuration changes during iterative testing; ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and export control standards
- Work closely with engineers, production staff, and junior technicians; provide informal mentorship and assist with onboarding or training activities
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of test equipment, lab safety, and MIL-STD-based testing requirements
- Proficiency reading technical drawings, schematics, and cable runouts
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, hardware rework, and prototype handling
- Familiarity with environmental test setups and automated data logging systems
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Valid driver's license required
Nice to Have
- Experience testing embedded systems, sensor platforms, or ruggedized electronics
- Knowledge of soldering standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) and cable assembly best practices
- Prior support for field testing, flight hardware integration, or customer demonstrations
- Familiarity with ERP systems, test documentation tools, or quality control procedures
- Training or certifications in ESD protection, test safety, or high-voltage handling
EducationÂ
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, manufacturing, or aerospace. 2-4 years of experience supporting engineering test or production environments.

Additional RequirementsÂ
You must have, or be eligible to obtain, a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance. You will be subject to government security investigations and must be able to access classified information. The inability to obtain a security clearance will result in you being ineligible for the position.
