Schedule: This is a 3–4 x11 rotating shift alternating Wednesday

  • Sun - Wed 1st shift (5am -4:30pm)

Purpose

The purpose of the Additive Manufacturing Technician position is to support the production of high-quality, precision components through FOD free operations which includes additive manufacturing and post -processing equipment. This role ensures that Additive Manufacturing operations run efficiently, parts consistently meet engineering, quality, and customer specifications, while meeting production targets safely and efficiently. While this position will focus on operating a fast wire Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM), the technician will also train on other post processing machines.

The Role

The Additive Manufacturing Technician plays a vital role in the daily execution of additive manufacturing (AM) operations. The AM Technician is expected to exemplify our core values and demonstrate operational excellence. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with good mechanical aptitude, good hand-eye coordination with an understanding of production workflows, can adapt to shifting priorities, and is eager to learn and have competency with AM processes. The technician is responsible for maintaining exceptional quality and efficiency throughout production, while working collaboratively with leads, supervisors, and management to meet operational goals and continuously improve processes. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 
  • Ability to demonstrate the use of MaintainX. 
  • Basic understanding of multimeter & electric power. 
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic air systems. 
  • Experience operating a Fast Wire EDM in an additive manufacturing environment. 
  • Good hand-eye coordination. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. 
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to support and mentor peers. 
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Attention to detail, safety-conscious, and dependable. 
  • Conducts themselves with respect and professionalism. 
  • The ability to lift and move 50+ lbs.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Complete knowledge of HB1200 fast wire EDM operation. 
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Additive Manufacturing or Manufacturing. 
  • Experience in aerospace or automotive AM environments. 
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards is a plus. 
  • Experience with highly technical equipment such as Lasers, MRI’s, EDM’s, Robotics, CNC, and CMM as well as pneumatic air hammers. 

  • Proficiency with Manufacturo software and/or Safety Culture software.

Compensation

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels T01 -  T03 as evaluated through our interview process. 

  • AM Technician I / T01: $27.00 - 37.00/hour 
  • AM Technician II / T02: $31.00 - $43.00/hour
  • AM Technician III / T03: $36.00 - $50.00/hour 

 

Pay Range
$27$50 USD
