Description
Eravant is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support our Quality Management System and quality operations within an aerospace and RF/microwave environment. This position will work closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Operations to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and maintain compliance with AS9100 requirements.
Responsibilities
• Support preparation for AS9100 audits and ongoing QMS compliance.
• Lead or participate in internal, customer, and external quality audits.
• Investigate NCRs and quality failures and drive root cause and corrective action activities.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to troubleshoot and resolve product quality issues.
• Support customer quality concerns, RMAs, corrective action requests, and documentation requirements.
• Work with Purchasing and suppliers to resolve supplier quality issues and improve supplier performance.
• Provide guidance to production and inspection personnel regarding quality requirements and containment activities.
• Support and mentor QA/QC inspectors as needed.
• Participate in MRB and nonconformance disposition activities.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, aerospace, electronics, or precision manufacturing.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Experience with NCR, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Operations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on quality environment rather than solely an administrative role.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic quality/documentation systems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage quality issues and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Position level may be adjusted based on experience. Candidates with demonstrated quality leadership and people-management experience may be considered for the Quality Supervisor role.
- Experience in RF, microwave, aerospace, defense, electronics, or precision manufacturing.
- Experience supporting or leading AS9100 audits.
- Experience investigating customer complaints, RMAs, and supplier quality issues.
- Experience participating in or leading MRB activities.
- Experience mentoring, training, or providing technical direction to inspectors or technicians.
- Previous team lead or supervisory experience is a plus.
