Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Planning Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the supply chain organization. This position is responsible for owning and executing core reporting activities—including ad hoc analyses and the design, development, and maintenance of standardized reporting frameworks—to provide actionable insights that improve planning accuracy and operational performance.


This role will design and build dashboards that translate complex data into clear, business-relevant insights, driving visibility across demand, supply, inventory, and master data. A key component of the position is ensuring a closed-loop process between reporting and execution—leveraging insights to continuously update master data, improve planning parameters, and refine processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Regularly report on planned vs actual values - production, sales, purchasing, etc.
  • Perform analyses to drive inventory management item master data - ABC/XYZ determination and policy execution, lot sizing optimization, planned vs actual lead times, etc.
  • Create and maintain dashboards (inventory health, plan vs actual, plan vs schedule, etc.)
  • Import and export data between Oracle and demand planning software (demand forecast, sell-in history, sell-through history, sell-through forecasts).
  • Maintain master data in demand planning software (historical and future unit prices, lead times, etc.)
  • Detect and inform team when large planned customer orders arrive. Report on progress of inventory availability and on time shipping.
  • Design and provide inventory reporting to internal customers (in stock rates, potential stockouts, excess inventory, etc.)
  • Perform ad hoc analyses for the Operations team.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into actionable insights
  • Ability to clearly and elegantly communicate complex findings verbally and through effective data visualization
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to design and automate repeatable reporting and dashboard solutions
  • Experience working with ERP (Oracle Fusion Cloud a big plus), MRP, or supply planning systems; familiarity with demand, supply, and inventory planning concepts preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data modeling, or database structures is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for using data to solve problems and improve processes
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to independently manage ad hoc requests while maintaining standardized reporting cadence
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, relevant experience, or evidence of exceptional ability
  • ASCM (APICS) CPIM or CSCP a plus
