We have an exciting new opening for a 2026 Summer Mechanical Integration Engineering Intern located in Torrance, CA.

Imagine, design and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. 

  • You will work within the electrical COE, developing high performance electric machines and inverters. 
  • You will work within a team of talented engineers advancing design, increasing performance, and optimizing assembly techniques for our electro-mechanical devices
  • Grow and develop your engineering talents in a team-based culture by working with innovative products and technologies.
  • Enhance your engineering skills by working with world-class mentors to dream solutions to modern problems.
  • You will work in an advanced electronics lab building prototype automotive inverters and heatsinks for cutting edge high-voltage and high-power electronics.
  • You will work with your engineering teammates to design more efficient cooling solutions for electric and hybrid vehicle systems. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelors Degree Program
  • Club work such as Formula SAE, robotics club, or some other hands on engineering project.  
  • Duration: 3-6 months

  • Degree in engineering or other related field 
  • Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience. 
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Demonstrated experience with design tools appropriate for the field (3D CAD tools, Excel).
  • Demonstrated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher).
  • Demonstrated extra-curricular/leadership experience.

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is:

Minimum: $25 an hour

Maximum: $35 an hour 

Note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, education, training, and/or experience.
