Job DetailsJob Location: Torrance Campus - Torrance, CA 90502Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $24.00 - $24.00 HourlyPart-Time Position About Us: The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is an independent, non-profit biomedical research organization located in Torrance, California. In dozens of laboratories throughout the campus, researchers are working to unravel the mysteries of heart and kidney disease, cardiac complications in newborns, chronic lung disease, skin cancer, sickle cell disease, disorders of the autoimmune system, and much more. Many of these projects are collaborative in nature, involving experts from different areas of specialization. Our discoveries have prevented blindness in newborns, enabled premature infants with fragile lungs to breathe and allowed children with rare, often fatal diseases to grow up healthy and strong. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Prior experience organizing, managing and retrieving documents and files. Ability to use abstract reasoning, evaluation, and program development.                                                              Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills, specifically capabilities for working in a team environment Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner Demonstrated cooperative behavior and positive-problem solving and conflict resolution skills Available to work dependable, flexible shift Responsibilities: Work cooperatively with the department and division coordinators                                                                      Assist Departments with their needs pertaining to the educational activities                                                          Ensure that files and documentation are complete, accurate and confidentially maintained, where necessary           Assist in updating and dissemination of educational documentation                                                                      Other duties as may be assigned Position requires a background check and health clearance Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action/Drug-Free Workplace Qualifications
