Position Overview
In support of high-quality patient care, we are currently seeking an experienced dedicated and customer-focused Patient Services Representative (PSR). The Patient Services Representative will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and support to our patients. The PSR portrays excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.


Our ideal candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic, able to demonstrate a mature, dependable, and responsible approach while effectively assisting the physician鈥檚 practice in all interactions, be a highly committed team player, a proactive self-starter, reliable, and able to be flexible in a changing environment.


Responsibilities

路 Check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information

路 Schedule appointments

路 Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns

路 Verify insurance coverage

路 Collect patient payments and provide receipts

路 Collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations

路 Triages calls, working closely with physician and/or assigned staff member in responding to all calls in a timely fashion.

路 Develop great patient relationships and high-quality patient experience

路 Support all relevant EHR work queue patient care support responsibilities.

路 Register new patients and update existing records with accurate demographic, insurance, and medical information.

路 Attend training at our Farmington and Plainville locations

路 Travel between our various sites upon request.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

路 Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality

路 Experience working as a medical receptionist or in a medical office environment is a plus

路 Previous customer service or administrative experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

路 Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, Epic experience preferred.

路 Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff.

路 Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
