Ā The Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Solderer II At Altek are described below:

Ā Performs a wide variety of routine manufacturing functions in one or more of the following areas:Ā 

Ā 

• Component prep and placement on PCBs.Ā 

• Hand solder through-hole or surface mount components, and/or wires to PCBs.Ā 

• Demonstrate ability to solder while using a microscope and magnifying glass.Ā 

• Performs trim touch up and basic rework on PCBs as a result of inspection criteria and/or feedback.Ā 

• Wash/Clean PCBs as required.Ā 

• Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations.Ā 

• Performs semi-complex work within area of specialization.Ā 

• Interprets documented rules, past practices, or instruction on a semi-independent level.Ā 

• Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.Ā 

• Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S.Ā 

• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.Ā

Knowledge and Skill RequirementsĀ 

Ā 

• Good eyesight and hand coordinationĀ 

• Ability to read & understand assembly printsĀ 

• Ability to solder using magnificationĀ 

• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervisionĀ 

Ā 

Education and/or ExperienceĀ 

Ā 

• HS diploma or equivalent required.Ā 

• Typically, 2-4 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Essential Duties & Responsibilities as presented above.Ā

Working RelationshipsĀ 

Ā 

Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in employee's home area. May interact with other departments. May provide general guidance to less experienced coworkers.Ā

Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds
