Nurse Advanced Practice - Endocrinology

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications and treatments, provide patient and family education when caring for patients with various endocrinological disorders
• Ability to care for patients in both outpatient and inpatient setting 
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Adhere to healthcare and practice regulations and standards of professional performance
• Maintain clear and timely medical records (electronic medical record experience is preferred)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in providing care for the patients who use advanced diabetes technology like insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors as well pregnant patients with diabetes 
• Ability to work independently, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

St. Joseph’s Health officially opened the Totowa Health Campus during a special ceremony that included a ribbon cutting and a blessing by the Most Reverend Kevin Sweeney, Bishop of the Diocese of Paterson. More than 100 people attended the event, including Congressman Bill Pascrell, 9th District of New Jersey; John Coiro, Mayor of Totowa; and Senator Kristen Corrado, of New Jersey’s 40th Legislative District.

The new campus, located at 225 Minnisink Road in Totowa, is a 140,000-square-foot facility that integrates a comprehensive listing of outpatient services, including primary and urgent care, diagnostic imaging including MRI and CT, Radiology, Lab Services and Pharmacy all under one roof.  A host of medical and surgical physician offices are located on the campus, including cardiology, urology and gynecology, along with specialty Centers including Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy.  This fall, the health campus will also be the new home of a Comprehensive Cancer Center opening in October.
