Mechanic Manager

Title: Mechanic Manager
Reports to: Head Mechanic (Sr. Manager - Mechanic)
Department: Operation – Production Management

Responsibility Summary: 7+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and meet skills requirements. Required to show consistent skill progression and achieve Tech 2 within 3 years. Good working knowledge of filling and assembly equipment and systems. Ability to operate power shop tools in addition to common hand tools safely and effectively. Experience working with a wide range of industrial equipment and with hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, welding, pipe-fitting, power transmission systems, etc.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Great attention to detail, troubleshooting production equipment such as high-speed automated lines, different types of fillers, home-built machines, cartoners, inkjets, labelers, and laser marking systems
  • Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple and changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Acquire the technical expertise to set up each production equipment
  • Report all problems that prevent the completion of assigned tasks to your supervisor
  • Work closely with the different departments to ensure smooth start-up of the production lines
  • Analyze, assess, and record any deviation or change in the packing processes, modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture
  • Acquire the technical skills to disassemble, clean, and re-assemble each production equipment
  • Continuously look for and recommend equipment and system improvements
  • Ensure compliance with the production compliance with cGMP policies and company SOP guidelines
  • Maintain a fully operational, safe, and clean work environment
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s operational policies and industry regulations
  • Perform mechanical PMs during operation or during periods of scheduled downtime

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED or Higher
  • English communication skills are required plus Korean or Spanish helpful
  • Minimum 7+ years’ production line experience in a cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or food industry
  • Work within a team structure with minimal supervision
  • Experience required with different types of filling equipment, i.e. liquid, tube, powder, creams, Hot Pour
  • Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, and OSHA regulations
  • Excellent written and oral skills and management leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving & innovation techniques

Pay Range & Benefits:
  • Pay Range:  $65,000 - $75,000
  • Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience
