Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our collaborative pediatric therapy team. This position offers the opportunity to provide individualized ABA services in a fun, engaging sensory gym and private practice environment serving children, adolescents, and young adults from birth through age 21.
Our practice takes a collaborative, whole-child approach to care. RBTs work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs/COTAs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and other pediatric therapy professionals to support each client's functional development, independence, communication, regulation, and participation.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy under the supervision and direction of a BCBA.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill-acquisition programs.
- Collect accurate data and document client progress according to treatment plans and practice requirements.
- Support development of communication, social, play, self-help, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
- Utilize the sensory gym and therapeutic environment to create engaging, developmentally appropriate treatment sessions as directed by the treatment plan.
- Implement behavior-reduction strategies and reinforcement procedures established by the supervising BCBA.
- Collaborate professionally with BCBAs, OTs/COTAs, SLPs, families, and other members of the child's treatment team.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, training, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Maintain client safety, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and caregivers regarding sessions, progress, and relevant concerns.
- Maintain reliable attendance and consistency with assigned clients.
Qualifications
- Active RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) preferred/required based on position.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree or coursework in psychology, education, behavior analysis, child development, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Experience with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, behavioral challenges, or sensory processing differences is a plus.
- Ability to follow behavior plans and clinical protocols with consistency.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in an active pediatric sensory gym environment.
- Ability to engage in physical activities associated with pediatric treatment, including getting on the floor, playing, moving throughout the gym, and assisting clients as appropriate.
- Dependable, patient, flexible, positive, and passionate about working with children and families.
