Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Secure Entry Operations in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor access-control activity, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and retrieve visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, report unusual or unauthorized access attempts, and help to deter unauthorized entry through a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations as directed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
