We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee core general accounting functions, including the month-end close process, monthly sales and use tax filings, annual 1099 preparation and reporting, accounts payable, and cost accounting. This role will also assist with the preparation of financial statements and other management and statutory reports.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, multi-state tax experience, and a solid understanding of IRS information reporting requirements. The Senior Accountant will work closely with Accounting and Finance teams to strengthen internal controls, support process improvements, and assist with the adoption of new accounting standards.

Requirements

  •  Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable international accounting policies
  • Prepare, review, and maintain detailed balance sheet and account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances.
  • Manage intercompany accounting activities, including intercompany transfers, eliminations, reconciliations, and coordination with related entities.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure accurate inventory valuation, standard costing, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns across multiple state, county, city, and special tax jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and file annual IRS information returns, including Forms 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC, ensuring compliance with IRS reporting requirements.
  • Perform financial analysis and prepare management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary on significant period-over-period changes.
  • Design, document, and enhance internal controls and accounting processes to mitigate financial and operational risk and support scalability.
  • Serve as a key contributor during annual audits, including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with external auditors.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting standards, systems enhancements, and  cross-functional process improvements as needed.


Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on responsibility for close, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Manufacturing environment experience with strong knowledge of inventory, cost accounting, and COGS required.
  • Proven experience handling intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; exposure to international accounting considerations is a plus.
  • Experience working with SAP or a comparable ERP system required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets), including data analysis and reconciliation tools.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual Korean language proficiency is a plus
