Job Description:

The incumbent plans, implements, and supervises assigned sports or clinical program(s). Services as a liaison between the facilities departments, community, schools, and youth sport organizations. May also include administering performance sports training protocols.

We are a Monday through Friday clinic open from 7am - 5pm.  Closed weekends and most holidays.

This position will require great customer service and communication skills as well as conflict resolution skills.  The person in this position will work with patients, employers, insurance companies, and providers.  Some clinical experience is preferred.  This position also requires learning about work comp laws and occupational health services.  MA experience would be helpful because this position needs to also provide back-up in the clinic area.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with physicians and other providers to develop a plan of care for patients with complex problems and injuries.
  •  Identify obstacles to efficiency and goal outcomes and intervene to overcome or eliminate these when possible.
  • Participate in case reviews and quality improvement efforts.
  • Assess, develop, and implement case closures in collaboration with providers, employers, and insurance adjustors.
  • Provide back-up assistance for other occupational health services (OHS) when needed to provide services to patients including but not limited to: drug screen testing, blood and breath alcohol testing, immunization administration and rooming of patients.
  • Collaborate with employers, insurance adjustors and other healthcare providers to obtain appropriate services for patients.
  • Work with providers to identify appropriate internal/external resources for referral purposes. Serve as a resource to patients and their families regarding access to health care resources

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a related healthcare role

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
