Through inclusive hiring practices, we ensure a community of connection and belonging where everyone can thrive.   Job Description: This position assists Faculty, Staff, and Students with technical support of campus computing devices, applications, and related classroom technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and Windows operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. The position works with our end users and with other Technology Department Staff.  The employee in this position also assists in configuration and support of the campus telephone and voice mail systems. The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving. Key Responsibilities: Assists Faculty, Staff, and Students with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of Microsoft Surfaces, peripheral equipment, and software within established standards and guidelines. Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with computing equipment and software. Works with Help Desk and Network Staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients. Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure devices interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including cloud platforms, conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems. Trains and orients faculty/staff on use of hardware and software. Recommends and / or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity. Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases. Maintains classroom technology systems including projection systems, Crestron and AMX conferencing systems. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology. Qualifications Associates degree or equivalent software industry experience Experience supporting Windows 11   Experience troubleshooting hardware/software issues on various platforms including Surface and mobile devices Experience with Microsoft MDT and Intune platforms Experience with the Microsoft Office 365 management Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, and printing problems Customer Service Experience a must
