Marathon Medical is a durable medical equipment (DME) provider specializing in sleep apnea treatment, PAP therapy, and related medical supplies. We work closely with physicians, sleep clinics, and referral partners to support patients while maintaining strict healthcare documentation and compliance standards.

Job Summary

We are hiring an Administrative Support Specialist to support healthcare operations, patient coordination, and referral and order processing. This role combines medical administrative support, patient communication, and documentation review in a regulated healthcare environment.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in healthcare administration, medical office support, patient services, or DME operations who are detail‑oriented and comfortable following structured workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients via phone and email regarding medical orders, referrals, and status updates
  • Perform accurate data entry and documentation within internal healthcare systems
  • Review patient and referral documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Follow up on missing or incorrect medical information with providers and referral sources
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order processing and equipment delivery
  • Track and update referral and order status using CRM / EMR / order management systems
  • Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and healthcare workflows
  • Assist with in-office patient visits and walk-ins as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in healthcare administration, medical office support, administrative work, or professional customer service OR a recent college graduate with relevant coursework, internships, or hands-on experience and a strong interest in starting a career in healthcare operations
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn structured healthcare workflows

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Scheduled between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
  • Onsite position in Towson, MD
