Job Title: Therapist Assistant SupervisorÂ

Job Summary:
The Therapist Assistant Supervisor ensures patient safety, accountability, and adherence to daily schedules in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable State and Federal regulations. This position provides supervision, guidance, and coaching to Therapist Assistant staff in collaboration with the Support Services Leadership team. The Therapist Assistant Supervisor also oversees facility operations during assigned shifts, coordinates workflow, delegates responsibilities, and supports effective communication across departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise, support, and guide Therapist Assistant staff
- Lead shift reports and ensure accurate communication between shifts
- Document and address Support Services team concerns in a timely and appropriate manner
- Communicate staff-related issues to the Director of Support Services
- Oversee shift operations by delegating tasks and managing care needs for the MARC community
- Provide staff guidance on documentation standards, communication expectations, professional ethics, and patient boundary guidelines
- Participate in scheduled monthly supervision with the Director of Support ServicesÂ
- Attend Support Services leadership meetings as scheduled

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve in a supportive and guidance-oriented role to both patients and staff.Â
- Provide patient education and assistance with life skills, including personal management, socialization, community involvement, and health and safety practices
- Coach and train staff to promote professional development and address performance concerns
- Monitor and document patient progress consistently through shift notes, reports, verbal updates, and email
- Advocate for patient rights, reporting any violations to the leadership immediately
- Perform urinalysis procedures with patients as neededÂ
- Observe patient self-administration of medication in accordance with medical orders, as needed
- Respond appropriately to emergency and crisis situations involving patients or staff
- Transport patients to groups, appointments, and activities using MARC vehicles as needed
- Maintain daily communication with the Support Services leadership team and collaborate regularly with all departments
- Model professionalism and organizational standards as a member of the Support Services leadership teamÂ
- Provide Therapist Assistant coverage when needed, with approval from the DirectorÂ
- Provide coverage for Support Services leadership team members as needed and/or requiredÂ
- Coordinate, arrange, and confirm shift coverage for staff absences to meet shift needs and operations as needed
- Assist with unplanned staffing coverage needs as neededÂ
- Complete supervisor medication counts per shift, when required, in alignment with policyÂ
- Complete annual mandatory trainings as assigned by the companyÂ
- Comply with all company and departmental policies, quality assurance practices, safety standards, environmental and infection control procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
- Minimum of 4 years driving experience requiredÂ
- Six months or more in the field of chemical dependency/substance abuse/psychiatric setting or human services field preferredÂ
- Six months of experience at MARC preferredÂ
- Experience with EMR system preferredÂ
Â
License/Certification:
- Valid driver’s license required (will be required to submit a copy of Complete Driving Record for insurance purposes)Â
- CPR certification preferred but not required
- Narcan training certification preferred but not requiredÂ
- Peer Recovery Specialist certification preferred but not requiredÂ
