Purpose of Position:
The Equipment Delivery Driver supports the Service and Sales departments by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of equipment to and from customer locations and company facilities. This role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction by delivering equipment in excellent condition, providing basic operational guidance, and representing the company with professionalism. The position also contributes to overall operational efficiency by adhering to schedules, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Support the Service and Sales departments by picking up and delivering lawn & garden turf equipment, compact tractors, and UTVs.
Follow assigned pickup and delivery schedules provided by the Service Administration team to maximize efficiency.
Frequently enter and exit delivery vehicles and equipment throughout the workday.
Safely lift, lower, and operate truck and trailer ramps for loading and unloading equipment.
Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries, including obtaining required signatures and receipts.
Maintain all required certifications in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies.
Accurately track and report time and mileage associated with assigned duties.
Assist in maintaining assigned trucks and related equipment in good working condition.
Provide basic equipment operating instructions to customers, as needed.
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times to ensure excellent customer service.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Writer or Service Manager.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials weighing up to 75 pounds; occasionally lift heavier items with assistance or mechanical aids.
Regularly climb in and out of delivery vehicles and onto/off trailers throughout the workday.
Ability to safely operate loading ramps, liftgates, and securement equipment.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching to load, secure, and unload equipment.
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods while performing deliveries and equipment inspections.
Ability to maintain balance and coordination while loading/unloading equipment on uneven or sloped surfaces.
Sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to safely operate vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Adequate vision (with or without correction) to safely operate vehicles and inspect equipment.
Ability to hear and communicate effectively with team members and customers in person and over the phone.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience driving a delivery vehicle.
Must have valid DOT Medical Certification Card (or ability to obtain and maintain one).
CDL not required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Clean and safe driving record.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Experience loading and unloading equipment onto delivery vehicles.
Knowledge of proper load securement in compliance with DOT regulations to prevent damage during transport.
Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 75 lbs on a regular basis.

The pay range for this position is $19-$24 per hour based on experience
