The Cabinet / Countertop Project Specialist is responsible for overseeing cabinet & countertop projects from contract award through final installation and closeout. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages schedules and budgets, ensures quality and compliance, and serves as the primary point of contact for internal teams, builders, and vendors.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Manage cabinet/countertop drawings from creation through fabrication, installation, and final acceptance.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to meet builder and production milestones.
- Create and track (ECOs) and scope adjustments.
- Serve as the main point of contact for drawings between the customer.
- Attend kickoff & precon meetings and ongoing project status reviews.
- Communicate risks, delays, and changes proactively to stakeholders.
- Review SOW, specifications, plans, and finish selections for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all required documentation is entered and maintained in internal systems (ERP/Filemaker/PM tools).
- Manage approvals for submittals, templates, shop drawings, and changes.
- Ensure cabinets & countertops meet company quality standards, customer expectations, and code requirements.
- Coordinate issue resolution related to fabrication defects, installation concerns, or field conditions.
- Support inspections, frame walks, and final sign-off.
- Coordinate with fabrication and installation teams to align capacity and sequencing.
- Resolve field issues quickly to minimize production or installation disruptions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for bidding-to-production workflows.
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5+ years of project management experience in countertops, cabinetry, millwork, or construction trades.
- Strong understanding of countertop materials (quartz, granite, solid surface, porcelain, laminate, etc.)
- Ability to read architectural plans and specifications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints.
- Personable - strong oral, written and interpersonal communication.
- Self-motivated, quick learner.
- Collaborative, adaptable, creative, honest, positive.
- Problem solving/critical thinking.
- Project planning, scheduling, to meet deadlines.

- Hybrid – In office 3 days per week.
- Occasionally on jobsites to conduct shop review meetings.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.

- Experience working with production builders or multifamily projects.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or project management software.
- Background in fabrication or field installation environments.
