Position Overview We are seeking a commercially minded, transactional attorney to join our in-house legal team. This mid-level role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys rolling up their sleeves on complex, high-volume contract work. You will serve as a trusted legal partner to our operations, sales, procurement, and real estate teams, supporting a broad range of commercial activity across our OEM business. Key Responsibilities Commercial Contracts Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements, including dealer agreements, OEM supply contracts, manufacturing and tolling agreements, and master service agreements Serve as primary legal point of contact for the company's dealership and distribution network, advising on franchise-related matters and dealer contract compliance Support procurement and sourcing teams on supplier agreements, vendor contracts, statements of work, and related documentation Identify and negotiate favorable contract terms related to pricing, IP ownership, indemnification, liability caps, and termination rights Maintain and improve standard contract templates and playbooks to increase efficiency and reduce legal risk Real Estate Advise on real estate transactions including facility leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, and site control documentation in support of manufacturing operations and dealership locations Coordinate with outside counsel and brokers on due diligence, title review, and closings as needed Review and negotiate landlord/tenant agreements for corporate and field locations   Supply Chain & Manufacturing Support Provide day-to-day legal support on supply chain issues including supplier disputes, force majeure claims, and contract performance matters Partner with operations and engineering teams to address legal issues arising from manufacturing processes, quality agreements, and product specifications Assist with OEM customer-facing agreements and support the sales team on contract negotiations with major accounts General Legal Support Identify legal risks and present practical, business-friendly solutions to internal stakeholders Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the automotive manufacturing and dealership industry Support the General Counsel on special projects, M&A diligence, and other matters as they arise   Great Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience Annual performance bonus Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and paid holidays Collaborative, low-bureaucracy legal team with real visibility to senior leadership   QualificationsQualifications Required J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing 5 to 7 years of transactional legal experience, with meaningful exposure to commercial contracts in a manufacturing, OEM, automotive, or related industry setting Demonstrated experience negotiating and drafting dealer, distributor, supply, and/or manufacturing agreements Familiarity with real estate transactions, including commercial leases and purchase agreements Strong business judgment and the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities under deadline pressure Preferred Prior in-house experience at a manufacturer, OEM, or multi-site dealership group Exposure to UCC Article 2 sales of goods issues and supply chain dispute resolution Experience with franchise law or automotive dealer regulatory frameworks Familiarity with environmental or OSHA compliance considerations in a manufacturing context   WORK CONDITIONS  Physical Demands/Work Environment:   This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs.  This list is not meant to cover every possible scenario but simply provide an outline.  Employees may be assigned other tasks as needed.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.   Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen (including THC).
