PROtect, LLC is hiring Environmental Monitoring & Mitigation (EMM) Apprentices in Laurel, MT.Â
This is a paid, entry-level apprenticeship with hands-on training in Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR), emissions monitoring, and environmental compliance.Â
You’ll work onsite at industrial facilities alongside experienced technicians, using specialized equipment to help reduce emissions and protect the environment.Â

What You’ll Be DoingÂ
Field Monitoring & ComplianceÂ
- Monitor industrial equipment for emissions using portable analyzersÂ
- Perform LDAR inspections following EPA Method 21Â
- Identify leaks and apply process leak tagsÂ
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulationsÂ
Equipment & Data WorkÂ
- Calibrate monitoring equipment for accuracyÂ
- Upload daily monitoring data and complete emissions reportsÂ
- Maintain accurate documentation for complianceÂ
Site Communication & SafetyÂ
- Communicate findings with site and plant personnelÂ
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirementsÂ
- Report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditionsÂ

What You NeedÂ

- High school diploma or GEDÂ
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationÂ
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)Â

- Experience in oil & gas, chemical plants, or refineriesÂ
- Familiarity with handheld/PDA data devicesÂ
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on work experienceÂ

- Comfortable with physical work (lifting, climbing, stairs)Â
