Summary:

The Aftermarket Business Development Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth of Oilgear’s aftermarket business by expanding sales of replacement parts, repair services, field service, upgrades, modernization projects, and long-term service agreements. This role develops strategic relationships with existing and new customers, identifies lifecycle opportunities, and partners with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service to deliver exceptional customer value. The position requires approximately 50–75% travel.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and execute a strategic aftermarket growth plan aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for replacement parts, repairs, field service, system upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects.
  • Build long-term relationships with OEMs, distributors, EPC firms, and end users.
  • Increase recurring revenue through service agreements and lifecycle support programs.
  • Develop sales forecasts, maintain CRM opportunities, and achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to develop customer solutions and proposals.
  • Conduct site visits, equipment assessments, and customer presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
  • Support customer issue resolution while ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Represent Oilgear at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of business development or technical sales experience in industrial manufacturing, hydraulics, fluid power, rotating equipment, or heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated success growing aftermarket parts and service revenue.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and discuss hydraulic systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.
