CNC Machine Operator / Trainee - Aerospace Manufacturing

Job Summary:

The position is an entry-level position operating CNC machines under supervision to produce aerospace components. Lean fundamental machining processes while maintaining quality and safety standards in a precision manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Operate CNC machines following established procedures.
· Load/unload parts and perform basic machine setups under guidance.
· Monitor machine operations and report any issues immediately.
· Perform routine tool changes and machine maintenance.
· Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) for part inspection.
· Maintain accurate production counts.
· Keep work area clean and organized.
· Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
· Complete training modules and certifications as assigned.
· Assist senior machinists with material handling and setup tasks.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school in machining preferred.
· Previous manufacturing experience
· Basic math skills (algebra, geometry, trigonometry)
· Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, or similar aerospace quality systems.

Skills & Competencies:

· Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
· Ability to read rulers and basic measuring instruments
· Good vision and manual dexterity
· Basic blueprint reading knowledge
· Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.

Working Conditions:

· Manufacturing shop environment; may require lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and wearing PPE.
· May involve overtime, weekend, or shift work depending on production demands.
· Exposure to cutting fluids and metal chips.
· Climate-controlled facility
