Remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional — U.S. Firm (EST Hours)

About the Role
An established U.S. public accounting firm is looking to add a remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to its team. This role supports a U.S.-based client and requires working hours aligned with U.S. Eastern Time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules

• Record and review adjusting journal entries

• Support preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns

• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Collaborate closely with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general tax preparation concepts

• Strong written and spoken English

• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment

• Able to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours
