Purpose and function of job:

 

The Concession Stand Runner works under the supervision of the Food and Beverage Supervisor and Food and Beverage Manager.  The runner assists with various organizational and cleaning duties providing prompt, excellent food and beverage service to customers and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.  The Concession Stand Runner performs all job tasks in compliance with the philosophy, policies, goals, and budget of Traverse City Baseball, Inc.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Essential duties and responsibilities of this job classification:

 

  • Be available and visible always when customers are present helping guests any way that you can.
  • Must have knowledge of suite level menu items and knowledge of all ballpark food & beverage products.
  • Responsible to assist with the set-up of a concession stand including organizing condiment stations, stocking products, and cleaning areas in the vision of guests.
  • Assists cashiers by transporting menu items to the window as they are ordered by guests, helping fill drinks when necessary, and preparing specific menu items for service.
  • Communicate with the concession stand supervisor and cooks when product begins to run low to ensure the concession stand is always properly stocked with food and beverages for guests.
  • Transport popcorn, cotton candy, and other products to the concession stand to ensure inventory levels are always properly met.
  • Assist with answering guest questions when asked.
  • Assist the cooks with wrapping menu items, filling fry cups, and other tasks as needed.
  • Organize the kitchen and storage rooms, keeping it clean.
  • Complete any projects designated by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills. 
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and remain flexible. Holidays and weekends as needed. 
  • Ability to stand up for 3+ hours at a time.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions. 
  • Project a positive image to internal (employees) and external (fans) customers.
  • Ability to effectively present and respond to information and questions from management and coaching staff. 
  • Professionalism, judgment and maturity in handling confidential matters.
