TC Pit Spitters: Kid Zone Attendant

Kids Zone Attendant 
 

Overview: Reporting to the Operations Manager, Kids Zone Attendants are responsible for ensuring a positive experience and safe atmosphere for all who enter the Kids Zone at Turtle Creek Stadium. This position actively engages fans by greeting, selling wristbands/participation, operating inflatables, offering stadium guidance, and tending to their general safety while inside the stadium.

Principle duties and responsibilities include:

• Welcoming and engaging with guests at the Kids Zone
• Selling “All-You-Can-Play” Wristbands & Speed Pitch Throws
• Setting up, Operating, and Tearing Down Inflatables/Games
• Maintaining the area around the Kids Zone
• Observation of guidelines for ensuring the safety of guests
• Answering general questions from fans and spectators
• Remaining actively engaged through the conclusion of the event
• Guide fans efficiently and effectively in the event of an emergency
• Guide and Supervise Bounce House/Speed Pitch Operations for fan safety
• Assist with post-game tote removal & game storage as directed by the Operations Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate effectively with spectators, coworkers, and supervisors
• Must be willing to work in both a team setting as well as alone in certain areas
• Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and loud environment 
• Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional days according to baseball and events schedules
• Must be good with kids
• Must be attentive to safety/ability to enforce rules
• Able to provide or contact first aid in the event of injury
• Must be able to understand written and/or verbal instructions
• Must be punctual to call times and meeting assignments

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, fold, and roll (with assistance) inflatables weighing exceeding 100lbs
• While performing duties, employees are often required to climb stairs, reach, kneel, or crouch. 
• Employee must show ability to communicate effectively via two way radio.
