Parking Attendant 

 

General Overview: With guidance from the Parking Supervisor, parking attendants are responsible for efficiently directing traffic and maintaining order within parking lots surrounding Turtle Creek Stadium before, during, and after events.

 

Principle duties and responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and engaging with guests as they enter and exit the property.
  • Taking cashless payment at entry points for Pit Spitters games and other stadium events.
  • Safely guiding and directing traffic within lots and surrounding areas.
  • Monitoring restricted lot entrances and directing traffic to open lots.
  • Answering questions and directing spectators to stadium entry gates.
  • Following instructions and parking plans provided by parking supervisor and Pit Spitters management.
  • Executing exit parking plans at conclusion of Pit Spitters games and non-baseball events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with spectators, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work in both a team setting as well as alone in certain areas.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment around moving traffic.
  • Must be able to understand written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional days according to baseball and stadium events schedules.
  • Must be punctual to call times and meeting assignments.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Must have a heightened sense of awareness and ability to move while working in and around moving traffic.
  • While performing duties, the employee is often required to walk, climb stairs, reach, kneel, lift, or crouch.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via two-way radio.
  • Must wear Hi-Vis safety vest and other safety apparel.
