Job Summary
A Breast Trimmer in the poultry processing industry is responsible for the meticulous preparation of poultry breasts. Duties include removing excess fat, inspecting meat for defects, and using sharp knives or automated tools to debone and cleanly separate the desired portions while adhering to strict food safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

- Meat Preparation: Accurately separate breast meat from the carcass or bone line using specialized knives or equipment.
- Trimming: Meticulously remove excess fat, cartilage, and any connective tissue by hand or with a knife.
- Quality Control: Inspect meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes and discard or trim them accordingly.
- Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean work area and strictly follow food safety and sanitation regulations to prevent cross-contamination.
- Production Pace: Keep up with the fast-paced assembly line, balancing processing speed with precision and high yield.

Job Requirements
- Experience: No formal experience is required. On the job training is provided. Experience in food manufacturing or processing is a plus. Â
- Age: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
- Skills: Must have good attention to detail - Ability to spot meat defects and consistently meet plant yield and quality standards. Basic proficiency or willingness to learn how to use trimming tools and knives safely.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands.
- Environmental: Ability to work in varying temperature conditions including cold temperatures.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
- Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
