Position

The Data Governance Analyst is a developing data management professional responsible for supporting enterprise data governance, data management, and data quality initiatives. The role partners with business, technology, risk, and compliance teams to help ensure data is accurate, well-documented, and appropriately governed to support reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the firm.


Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise data governance, data management, and data quality processes under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist with data profiling and analysis of critical data elements to identify potential data quality issues.
  • Help document data standards, data lineage, and data ownership across key data domains.
  • Support remediation efforts by tracking issues, performing analysis, and coordinating with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining data quality metrics, controls, and documentation.
  • Partner with technology teams to support data platforms, reporting tools, and analytics solutions.
  • Support governed access to data, reports, and dashboards in accordance with firm policies.
  • Participate in data transformation and enablement initiatives to improve data accessibility and usability.
  • Support alignment of data governance practices with regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements.
  • Prepare materials, summaries, and analysis to support data governance forums and stakeholder discussions.
  • Escalate issues and risks as appropriate with clear supporting information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, data management, analytics, or a related role.
  • Exposure to financial services, wealth management, or regulated environments is a plus.

Skills

  • Foundational knowledge of data governance, data management, and data quality concepts.
  • Experience with SQL and familiarity with scripting or analytical tools (e.g., Python, Power BI).
  • Basic understanding of data architecture, data flows, and reporting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to document processes and communicate findings clearly.
  • Effective collaborator with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Compensation Range

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
