Location: Onsite – Trenton, SC 29847
Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support continuous improvement and automation initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This onsite role focuses on PLC programming, electrical control systems, and equipment optimization while collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Modify and improve existing equipment for automation and continuous improvement
- Design, develop, and support electrical control systems
- Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo drives
- Support production and maintenance teams with equipment issues
- Manage contractors and maintenance technicians for project execution
- Work with vendors and equipment designers on technical requirements
- Manage capital and expense budgets to meet plant objectives
- Ensure equipment safety and compliance with NFPA 70E standards
- 2+ years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing
- Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Rockwell software
- PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of industrial Ethernet and machine networks
- Understanding of equipment safety, risk assessments, and arc flash requirements
- Strong work ethic and self-starter mindset
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Experience managing contractors and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
