Job Summary:

Ā 

This position is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines used in the manufacture of filtration products.

Ā 

What you will do:

  • Operate and maintain sewing equipment and related parts in accordance with operating standards.Ā 
  • Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output while following quality guidelines.
  • Read and interpret work orders and adjust machines and materials to match, including selecting fabric, thread, and needles, mounting necessary attachments, and double-checking settings before start of producing.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of the product in accordance with quality standards.Ā  Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make adjustments to the machine as needed to prevent quality issues.
  • Record all information into the production system accurately once the product count is complete.Ā  This includes the number of pieces completed during each work order during the shift.Ā 
  • Troubleshot the machine and schedule maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations as well as Menardi safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with ISO processes and procedures to maintain certification.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

We believe you have:

Your Experience & Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prefer 1 year of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment

Your Skills & Traits

  • Ability to read English
  • Must be able to utilize and read measurement devices
  • Basic mathematics
  • Ability to interpret production drawings and production bill of materials
  • Good hand and eye coordination
  • Flexibility to be able to work in other sewing processes
  • Ability to use computer
