TheĀ ProcessĀ DCS OperatorĀ reports to theĀ ProcessĀ Shift Supervisor and serves as the primary point of contact during each shift for monitoring andĀ initiatingĀ operating activities from the control room. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the LNG facility.Ā
TheĀ ProcessĀ DCS OperatorĀ works closely with all facility operations personnel, as well asĀ supervisors,Ā managers, andĀ directors within the Operations and Maintenance departments, to manage andĀ optimizeĀ the LNG liquefaction facility. This is a leadership position that requires a strong understanding of and qualification in DCS and SIS (SafetyĀ instrumentedĀ systems), pretreatment, liquefaction, storage, loading, utilities, and emergency management systems.Ā
Responsibilities:Ā
Operate the DCS control console toĀ monitorĀ and regulate process variables and control the flow of process and utility streamsĀ in accordance withĀ approved schedules.Ā
Operate assigned process areas in full compliance with company safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including permit and operating limits, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Promptly report safety and environmental concerns, incidents, and deviations to the shift team.Ā
Ensure emergency response systems are available and functional, act as the first line of incident control, and complete all required safety and environmental documentation.Ā
Coordinate normal operations as well as start-ups and shutdowns (planned and emergency) in collaboration with field operators.Ā
Perform basic process calculations, including material balances and key operating parameters.Ā
Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and initial operation of the LNG facility as an active member of integrated commissioning and start-up teams alongside the EPC contractor.Ā
Record, compile, monitor, and report operating data and key process performance indicators.Ā
Serve as theĀ central pointĀ of control for shift operations via the DCS, directing field operators and communicating critical process changes to supervision and affected upstream or downstream units.Ā
Evaluate and provide feedback on proposed operational changes and coordinate their implementation with field operators.Ā
Control the process within the defined operating envelope and established procedures to meet LNG production targets and product specifications, while continuouslyĀ monitoringĀ process stability and reliability.Ā
Troubleshoot process deviations and respond to process upsets and emergenciesĀ in accordance withĀ approved procedures.Ā
Balance safe production, equipment reliability, operating costs, and environmental compliance through effective process control.Ā
Monitor and coordinate process interconnections across the LNG facility to maximize overall reliability and production.Ā
Review operating schedules, logs, and laboratory results toĀ determineĀ necessary adjustments to equipment controls to achieve required product quality and quantity.Ā
Maintain and enhance technical knowledge and skills by completing required refresher and competency-based training.Ā
Participate in training programs and serve as a mentor by providing on-the-job training, meaningful work assignments, and progress evaluations for trainees.Ā
Provide technical support during shift operations,Ā identifyĀ reliability issues, and ensure they are communicated to theĀ appropriate departmentsĀ for resolution.Ā
Contribute to the development and revision of operating procedures and manuals.Ā
Participate in the development and delivery of the Operations Training Program and mentor plant operators through structured on-the-job training and performance monitoring.Ā
Collaborate with foreign experts during theĀ initialĀ operating period toĀ facilitateĀ effective transfer of technical knowledge and best practices.Ā

Required Experience:
Eight (8) yearsā experience, of which four (4) have been as a DCS Operator, commissioning, startup & operations in oil & gas, petrochemical.Ā
Required Education:Ā
Associate degreeĀ inĀ related field,Ā relevant militaryĀ trainingĀ or equivalent experience.
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) is required.Ā Ā Ā
Licensing and Certifications:
MustĀ maintainĀ a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driverās license in good standing.

Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height and lift and move objects weighting up to 30 pounds.Ā
