Summary
The Maintenance Instrumentation Technician reports to the Maintenance Instrumentation Supervisor and performs the safe, efficient, and effective execution of all instrumentationĀ maintenance work at Venture Global Plaquemines Liquified Natural Gas (PLNG). The Maintenance Instrumentation TechnicianĀ is responsible forĀ working with other technicians and supervisors within the Operations and Maintenance departments.Ā
General Description Duties & Responsibilities
Executes preventive and corrective maintenance instrumentation work according to VG HSSE processes, procedures, standards, and regulations.Ā Ā
Adherence to VGIMS (Venture Global Integrity Management System), site maintenance manual and work management process and procedures.Ā
IdentifyĀ potential safety, health, and environmental work hazards.Ā Ā Understand maintenance work scope and applicableĀ operations and maintenance processes and procedures.Ā
Performs problem solving activities to ensure maintenance andĀ reliabilityĀ corrective measures are implemented.Ā Ā Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for instrumentation systems.Ā
Prepare and create required job safety hazard analysis and work permits under his/her area of responsibility (ePTWĀ as applicable).Ā Ā Ensure permits are prepared and submitted to operations well in advance before execution.Ā
Works along with operations, maintenance, and engineering counterparts to ensure the safe completion of maintenance work.Ā
Responsible for daily work compliance and progress reports according toĀ maintenanceĀ work execution processes and procedures.Ā
Manage personalĀ timecardĀ according to VG Policies and Procedures (Vacations, time-off, sick leave, training, āOn-Call,ā etc.).Ā
Oversees contractor work execution, safe work completion, and performance according to VG Contractor Management procedure. Reports contractor work quality/noncomplianceĀ issues to direct supervisor and planning/contract teams.Ā
Provide mentoring and coaching to others andĀ holdĀ personal accountability for performance and behavior.Ā
IdentifyĀ and requestĀ requiredĀ special and routine tools/equipment/PPE for the safe execution of maintenance activities under his/her area of responsibility.Ā
Participate in site Ready for Operations (RFO) maintenance projects to develop required maintenance systems, processes, and procedures before commercial operations.Ā
Supports instrument equipment factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) asĀ required.Ā
ParticipateĀ in pre-commissioning, commissioning,Ā startup,Ā and operation of the VG facility. This will include being a vital member of the integrated commissioning / start-up team(s) with the EPC contractor.Ā Ā
Participate in various reviews during the engineering and design phases, such as HAZOPs, 3DĀ models,Ā and P&ID reviews.Ā
Qualifications
Required experience
Minimum five (5) years of maintenance instrumentation work experience in oil & gas, LNG, or petrochemical facilities.Ā
StrongĀ knolwdgeĀ of electrical industrial standards and regulations (i.e., ISA, NFPA 70E, FERC, etc.).Ā
Strong knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance of instrumentation equipment.Ā Ā
AppliedĀ knowledgeĀ of maintenance and inspection of instrumentation equipment such as, but not limited to,Ā antisurgeĀ valves accessories/positioners, motorized operatedĀ valves (MOV), triple off-set valves, rotating machinery vibration and speed monitoring systems, tank gauging systems, loading arm and mooring/berthing aid systems, IGVās, FGVās, hydraulic valves, limit switches,Ā ignition systems, cryogenic valves, control valves/accessories/positioners, ESD/BDV valves, fire and gas detection, building suppression systems, DCS/PLC/SIS systems and hardware, etc.Ā
Experience/knowledge ofĀ YokowagaĀ DCS system, Honeywell DCS system, BHGEĀ MarkVIe.Ā
Familiar with CMMS systems work management process (Work order process).
Work experience in small/medium scale instrumentation projects.Ā
Preferred Experience
SAP experience is preferred.Ā
Required Education
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED;Ā TechnicialĀ degree in instrumentation or applicable nationally recognized standard certification (i.e., NCCER / NICET).Ā
