We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Shift Supervisor, Process, located in Point Celeste, Louisiana.

Summary

TheĀ ProcessĀ Shift Supervisor reports to the DirectorĀ of Process OperationsĀ and serves as the primary point of contact during each shift for coordinating and supervising all activities related to the safe and efficient operation ofĀ Venture Global Plaquemines Liquified Natural Gas (PLNG).Ā Ā The Process Shift SupervisorĀ is responsible forĀ working withĀ otherĀ supervisors,Ā managers, andĀ directors within the Operations and Maintenance departments to manage andĀ optimizeĀ the LNG liquefaction facility.Ā 

General Description Duties & ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Drive a proactive approach to safe plant operations, keeping alert for unsafe practices andĀ conditions,Ā and ensuring corrective actionsĀ are taken. Ensure facilityĀ operatesĀ within all permit requirements. Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā Ā Ā 

  • Ensure that systems are in place and operable for effective emergency response andĀ be responsible forĀ first line incident control.Ā Ensure all safety and environmental documentation is completed.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā 

  • AssistĀ with the pre-commissioning, commissioning,Ā startup,Ā and initial operation of the LNG Facility. This will include being a vital member of the integrated commissioning / start-up team(s) with the EPC contractor.Ā 

  • Ensure economic and operational efficiency ofĀ plant, ensure the shift understands the plant business strategy and budget, and manages resources (staff and materials) within operational requirements and budgetary constraints.Ā 

  • Oversee execution of production plan, communicating goals and deviations as necessary, coordinate with other departments on behalf of the operations team, coordinate internal information sharing such as shift change and shift logs.Ā 

  • Maintain production targets and ensure optimization of plant throughput. Ensure all product quality specifications are met and develop methods and procedures to increase operating efficiency.Ā Ā Ā Ā 

  • Ensure the plantĀ operatesĀ within the operating envelope, ensure proper transfer of ownership of equipment betweenĀ operations andĀ maintenance,Ā determineĀ and prioritize maintenance requirements,Ā and write associated work orders.Ā 

  • Provide technical support to problem solving activities during the shift and ensure reliability issues are identified and properly communicated to the appropriate department.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā 

  • Supervise the activities of all shift operators; develop individual performance improvement plans with operators and formal training and development requirements. Provide informal mentoring and instruction, conduct annual performance reviews, and hold individuals accountable for performance and behavior.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā 

  • Participate in daily strategy planning withĀ production management and work to overcome the limitations and deficiencies toĀ ensureĀ targets are met.Ā 

  • IncidentĀ command and emergency management on off hours.Ā 

  • Participate in various reviews during theĀ engineering andĀ designĀ phases, such as HAZOPs, 3DĀ model, P & ID, and siting reviews.Ā 

  • Participate in and/or lead theĀ operating procedure and manual development process.Ā 

  • Participate in and/or lead the development ofĀ OperationsĀ TrainingĀ Program. Once completed, a key aspect of this program will be to act as a mentor by providing the trainee with meaningful job assignments,Ā on-the-jobĀ training, and progress monitoring.Ā 

Qualifications

Required ExperienceĀ 

  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years' experience in commissioning, startup, and operations in oil & gas or petrochemical facilities, of which at least two (2) must be at a supervisory or superintendent level.Ā 

Preferred ExperienceĀ 

  • LNG experience strongly preferredĀ 

Required EducationĀ 

  • Associate degree in related field,Ā relevant militaryĀ trainingĀ or equivalent experience.Ā Ā 

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) isĀ required.Ā 

Required SkillsĀ 

  • Strong leadership and administrative abilities areĀ required.Ā 

  • An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment.Ā 

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Ā 

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries, and governmental agencies.Ā 

  • Able to work with a culturally diverse group of technical individuals whose skills cover the rangeĀ requiredĀ toĀ operateĀ and maintain the LNG terminal and liquefaction production facilities.Ā 

  • Possess the personality and ability to relate to and toĀ establishĀ a mutually respectful relationship with management, peers and the various facility level workers who are all responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations.Ā 

  • Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs inĀ timelyĀ fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines.Ā 

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.Ā 

  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office SuiteĀ (Word, Excel, Access,Ā ProjectĀ and PowerPoint).Ā 

Ā 

Licensing & CertificationsĀ 

  • MustĀ maintainĀ a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.Ā 

  • MustĀ maintainĀ a valid state issued Driver License that is not expired.Ā
