 Accounts Receivable Manager
 

This position is primarily responsible for compiling data and supervising the billing teams which prepare invoices to ensure proper and timely revenue recognition, process cash receipts and CC charges, and performs collections procedures when necessary. Also responsible for responding to internal and external requests related to billing and collection efforts, resolving issues associated with billing or collections, implementing and streamlining procedures associated with the customer billing and company AR.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage billing teams performance, ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Audit invoices prepared by billing team when necessary
  • Assure that billing issues and errors are resolved in a timely manner
  • Accomplish billing departmental objectives by measuring billing results against plans; evaluating and improving methods
  • Process credit memo requests and obtain proper approvals
  • Create billing codes for new customer requests
  • Reconcile billings with AR ledger
  • Investigate cases of non-payment and negotiate/resolve conflicts within company guidelines
  • Have the ability to train effectively and mentor both billing & AR teams
  • Assist in cash forecasting
  • Provide required information and support to internal and external auditors during audits
  • Measuring and forecasting workload to ensure proper staffing and team workloads
  • Ensures accurate billing for all Global LT affiliates which includes international entities
  • Ensure timely posting of cash receipts and proper escalation of customer account issues & inquiries
  • Coordinate monthly Revenue accruals amounts alongside month-end closing staff
  • Work with team to streamline manual process of both the billing & AR teams
  • Maintain constant communication with the billing team, AR team and Accounting Manager
  • Ensure that operational standards are followed in the accounts receivable and billing duties
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplishing and enforcing Company Vision & Mission Statement
  • Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A. A.) in accounting or finance field or equivalent from two-year College or technical school

5+ years of related experience with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity

Great Plains experience is preferred

Computer Skills

- Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

- Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Email

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

- Detail oriented and organized; methodical and analytical approach to work

- Work well within a team – good troubleshooting and conflict management skills
