General Summary/Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Leadership and Pharmacists and according to standard procedures, upon receiving physician orders, assists in the preparation, distribution, and documentation of medication processes within the health care system.

Licensure/Certification/Registration
Ā§Ā Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Ā§Ā Registration with the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a āCertified Pharmacy Technicianā or eligible for registration within 45 days of hire.

Knowledge/Skills
Ā· Possess good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and problem solving skills
Ā· Able to read and write printed material in English
Ā· Proficiency with computer keyboard operations
Ā· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred
Ā· Ability to compute simple algebraic ratios, volume/volume percentage and weight/volume percentage
Ā· Ability to troubleshoot problems and/or do minor maintenance on all pharmacy equipment, printers, computers and telecommunication equipment with adequate training in the pharmacy. Must be familiar with pharmacy software
Ā· Possess ability to work well with other health care workers and perform as team member
Ā· Flexibility in scheduling essential as mentor/trainer of new coworkers
