What you will do:

The LMSW/LMHC is responsible for providing services to victims/survivors of sexual, physical and domestic violence, stalking, other crimes and to secondary victims of crimes. This position specifically focuses on providing trauma-informed therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups who have survived traumatic events. Additionally, this position assists with responding to crisis situations that come through our 24-Hour Hotline. This may include accompaniments to the ED and acting as a supportive advocate in legal matters and in securing needed services. This role will have a specific focus on partnering with the Troy City School district to provide on-site direct services, in addition to student survivors in surrounding area school districts where there is an identified need.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a therapy caseload of 20 to 25 individual client sessions weekly.
• Provide direct supportive services to victims/survivors of crime including but not limited to crisis intervention, advocacy,
  counseling/therapy/groups and NYS office of Victim Services compensation assistance.
• Collaborate and partner with members of the Troy City School District and surrounding area school districts to provide direct services to student survivors.
• Assist with staffing the programs 24-Hour Hotline as needed.
• Maintain records both electronic and paper in keeping with program requirements and agency confidentiality standards and in a timely fashion.
• Assist with training new staff, volunteers and per diems.
• Perform outreach services both within and outside the St. Peters Healthy Partners System.
• Provide referrals for needed services to victims/survivors.
• Develop strong and enduring relationships with service organizations and institutions who serve at-risk and high needs communities.

What You Will Need:

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field required.
• LMHC/LMSW preferred, however, candidates working toward licensure will be considered.
• A valid NYS driver’s license and dependable transportation are also required.
• Previous experience providing counseling to individuals and groups ages 12 and older is strongly desired.
• Experience working with victims/survivors of crime is preferred. Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System is desired.
• NYS Department of Health Sexual Assault Counselor Certification is required and will be provided to the desired candidate at no cost if not yet certified.

Pay Range: $30.00 - $43.08

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
