This position is located within the Project Management Department of 365 Retail Markets and reports to the Manager of Project Management. As the Project Manager Intern, you’ll be assisting our Project Management Team by contributing to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. The Project Manager intern may run small projects on a day-to-day basis, verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the benefits defined in the business case. The intern will support both day-to-day PMO operations and AI/automation exploration initiatives.


Responsibilities

PMO Operations

  • Participate in PMO ceremonies, including project planning meetings, status reviews, and project discussions.
  • Support coordination activities such as tracking project updates, risks, and action items.
  • Assist with maintaining project documentation within tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Observe and support cross-functional collaboration between PMO, product, and engineering teams.
  • Help organize or summarize project updates, reporting, or meeting outcomes.

AI & Automation Initiatives

  • Build and test automation workflows connecting systems such as Jira, Confluence, Teams, Outlook, Slack, SharePoint, and Airtable.
  • Prototype AI-powered reporting workflows that generate summaries, risk signals, and action items from project data.
  • Support development of AI agents and prompts using tools such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Rovo, and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Create integrations using APIs, webhooks, or automation tools to move information between systems.
  • Experiment with OpenAI integrations and AI workflows to automate PMO administrative tasks.
  • Analyze PMO workflows to identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation.
  • Document automation workflows and AI usage patterns so they can be reused by the team.
  • Coding may be used when helpful to support integrations or automation workflows. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript can assist with API integrations, automation scripts, or AI experimentation.

Requirements

  • Interest in project management processes and understanding how technology can improve project delivery and workflow efficiency.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies through coursework or personal projects.
  • Interest in automation, artificial intelligence tools, and software integrations.
  • Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, or system integrations is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain ideas clearly.
  • Self-starter mindset with curiosity and analytical thinking.
