WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

SLATE is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE),  Interior to join our growing team.  The SQE will be supporting all aspects of Supplier Quality and performance.  This position will be responsible for understanding and working closely with internal and external customers’ expectations, sourcing, quality, supplier development, delivering tooling, and parts on budget and on time per our program milestones.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

In this position, the candidate will be responsible for performing administering the APQP process, holding supplier(s) accountable to our Quality Requirements Manual, developing and implementing supplier partner KPI/scorecard, and implementing actions to improve hold suppliers accountable to perform. The SQE will also be pivotal in evaluating suppliers for production awards, all aspects of supplier quality performance, developing strong supplier relationships, and working with all internal stakeholders to support the company’s overall objectives and core values.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Engineering Degree or equiv. or previous working level experience

  • 10+ years of Supplier Quality including site audits, continuous improvement, APQP, lean problem-solving principles and leading a team by example.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

  • Experience with varied components (Plastics, seats, headliner, carpet, visors,console, lighting, etc)

  • Ability to identify process issues and drive improvements to improve operational efficiency and product quality.

  • Strong working knowledge of value driven supplier KPI and scorecard development and implementation.

  • Work directly with engineering and manufacturing regarding technical GD&T, and drawing standards training and review.

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • High level of integrity

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.

Salary Range

The compensation  for this position is the range Slate reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; work location; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$108,877.00 - $163,316.00 USD Annual

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Slate offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in the equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
