Role Overview
Systems Analyst – Document (Insurance Policy and RC)
***The ideal candidate is legally authorized to work in the United States and resides within a reasonable commuting distance of Troy, Michigan, to support a hybrid schedule. ***
As a Systems Analyst for Public Risk Group, you will support the Product Management team in enhancing the Policy Administration platform and SmartCOMM document generation solution. Working alongside experienced Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams, you will help deliver new capabilities that improve business processes, streamline document generation, and enhance the user experience.
You will collaborate with underwriting, operations, and technology teams to gather business requirements, document product enhancements, and support the design, testing, and implementation of new functionality. A significant focus of this role will be the creation, maintenance, and integration of SmartCOMM insurance documents and correspondence within our Policy Administration platform.
As Public Risk Group continues to invest in modernizing its technology platforms, you will have the opportunity to develop your product management skills while gaining experience with Agile delivery, enterprise insurance systems, document generation, and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Support Product team in managing and enhancing the Policy Administration platform and SmartCOMM document Generation solution
Drive efficient project collaboration by brokering communication between technical teams and customers.
Assist in design, creation, testing, and maintenance of SmartComm insurance documents and templates.
Support document integration between SmartCOMM and internal systems.Â
Participate in Agile ceremonies and workshops for requirements elaboration.
Assist with documenting business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and product documentation.
Provide versatile support to Product Management & Development teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of enhancements.
Build knowledge of insurance products, policy administration processe4s, and document generation best practices to effectively support the product portfolios.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience
1-3 years of relevant and progressive professional experience in software development and support.
Preferred Qualifications
Insurance industry experience desired
Possess and have ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Familiarity with document generation platforms such as SmartComm, or similar solutions preferred.Â
Basic understanding of API’s, system integrations, JSON data structures, or software configuration concepts is a plus.
Strong organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
