We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide high‑quality, trauma‑informed therapeutic services to individuals and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. The ideal candidate will utilize evidence‑based practices, deliver culturally responsive care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support client wellness. This role spans both Crisis Residence and MHOTRS clinic settings and plays a key role in crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and recovery‑oriented, strengths‑based care.
Salary posted for fully licensed applicants. Please note: MHC-LP, LMSW, LMSE, or Limited Permit salary base rate is $59,789.34

Key Responsibilities       Â
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight to direct care staff, ensuring effective crisis intervention and trauma-informed engagementÂ
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plansÂ
- Deliver psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or similar approachesÂ
- Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered careÂ
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with billing, legal, and ethical standardsÂ
- Facilitate group therapy sessionsÂ
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as neededÂ
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation supportÂ
- Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, coping skills, and community resourcesÂ
- Participate in on-call coverage rotationÂ
- Foster a culture of inclusion, belonging, and respectÂ
- Uphold strict confidentiality and professional ethical standardsÂ
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related fieldÂ
- Licensure preferred: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC (higher salary range for fully licensed candidates)Â
- Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic interventionsÂ
- Experience with evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.)Â
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Ability to work both independently and collaborativelyÂ
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentationÂ
- Familiarity with OMH programs and Medicaid billing strongly preferredÂ
- Valid NYS Driver License
- Reliable vehicle
