Two full-time shifts  & a part-time shift availible to join our multidisciplinary team at Unity House of Troy's Crisis Residence. 
This residence offers a safe place for the stabilization of psychiatric symptoms and a range of person-centered trauma informed services to support participants.
This is a short term stay facility that serves participants for up to 28 days as they prepare to transition back to the community. You will make significant impact on advancing this comprehensive specialty care residence, and provide meaningful support to the team 
 

Full-time 37.5 hours: 

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday  (10pm-8am) 

Sunday-Wednesday (10pm-8am ) Full-time37.5 

Part-time 30hours Pro-rated benefits eligible

Thursday, Friday, Saturday (10pm-8am). 

 
All position may be eligible for a sign on bonus.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Provide staff coverage in a 24/7 staffed transitional residential setting 
Assist program participants as needs arrive with supportive counseling.
Provide service coordination and medication supervision for program participants.
Provide crisis intervention/emergency assistance for residence.
Ensure satisfactory functioning of the facility with light cleaning duties with possible light lifting.
Must do evening safety routines and check lists.  
Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging
 
Required:
Per OMH guidelines, applicants must have the following experience to provide services as Crisis Intervention (CI) staff:
  • 1-3 years’ experience working with individuals with serious mental illness or substance use disorders OR
  • Lived experience with emotional, behavioral, addiction, or co-occurring disorders OR as a parent/primary caregiver of a child with emotional, behavioral, addiction, or co-occurring disorders
           High School Diploma or GED required
Must be responsible and reliable. Strong communication skills. Reliable transportation. Must be able to work as a team and individually. Must be able to work weekend rotation.
 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 1–2 years prior experience working with victims of domestic violence or similar vulnerable populations
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Valid NYS driver’s license required
