Job Responsibilities:

Data Science Manager: Guide development of data analytics in various environments using structured and unstructured data.  Present complex concepts in a format digestible by a diverse audience across organization.  Responsible for the end-to-end data science solution design, technical delivery, & value quantification.  Provide advice on ways to improve metrics, reports & analysis using BI tools. Coach junior data scientists and support their career development.    Collaborate w/business leaders to translate business goals & priorities into tactical solutions.  Identify new data science capabilities & their applications in the business, to advance the bank’s innovative data-driven culture.  Position reports to the regional office located at 5151 Corporate Drive, Troy, MI.  Remote work from locations within the U.S. is permitted.  REQs: Master’s degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. C/S, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or Physics).  Minimum 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in leveraging data science and analytics to solve business problems with relevant experience in data analysis, modeling and visualization.  I year of the 2 years of required experience must be in the banking or finance industry.   Submit resume & salary req to heather.cole@flagstar.com.
