Registered Dietitian-Per Diem-Eddy Visiting Nurses-Capital Region

Eddy VNRA, a 5 star home health agency, is looking for a per diem Registered Dietitian to visit patients in need in their homes in the Capital District. This is a great chance to utilize your skills in the patients' own setting!

Position Highlights:

What you will do:

  • Work with an interdisciplinary team to assist patients and their families in dietary needs for optimal health.

Responsibilities

  • Work one on one with patients and families in their home setting or per televisit which allows you to customize their diets.

  • Educate patients (and their families) on specialized diet and assist in weight management

  • You may have the opportunity to work with MDs and outside agencies for pts with enteral feeding and TPN.

  • Patients are referred following a hospitalization, inpatient rehab stay or by their physicians.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics (Didactic Program for Dietetics).

  • Registered Dietitian Certification with New York State is preferred.

  • ADA registration preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 1 year Dietitian experience is required - preferably in an acute setting

  • Home care experience preferred but not required

Pay Range: $29.00 - $38.28 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
