About the Role

As a Lead Program Counselor (DSP), you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting by supporting the hiring manager and acting as a role model for your fellow staff. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
  • Supporting medical needs and appointments
  • Following individualized support and behavior plans
  • Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
  • Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
  • Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

What We’re Looking For

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid
  • 1-year of residential experience

Pay

  • $19.59 – $20.04 per hour
  • Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
  • Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified

Schedule

  • Tuesday – Thursday 10:00a – 6:00p, Friday 12:00p-8p, Sa 8:00a-4:00pm (40 FT)
