Reports To: RN Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing


Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, accepted standards of nursing practice, facility policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership while promoting quality resident care, safety, dignity, and the highest practicable level of well-being.


Accountability: RN Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical guidance, education, support, and nursing care to residents and their families.
  • Monitor residents' conditions and administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established facility policies.
  • Accurately document resident care, treatments, observations, and services provided in resident medical records and department documentation.
  • Protect residents and staff by adhering to established infection prevention and infection control policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Identify and resolve resident care concerns by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Ensure quality resident care by adhering to facility philosophies, policies, procedures, accepted standards of nursing practice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and protect resident information in accordance with HIPAA, facility policies, and applicable privacy regulations.

Requirements

*Should work well in a team environment.

*Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Alabama 

*Long Term Care / Rehab experience preferred.

*Excellent communication skills.
