Job DetailsJob Location: Trussville Branch - Trussville, AL 35173Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.00 HourlyPOSITION SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Branch Operations Director, the Wellness Coordinator is responsible for the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of health and wellness programs, ensuring that all operations in the Wellness department run smoothly. Additionally, this position is responsible for creating new and innovative programs that meet the needs of the community. The Wellness Coordinator will serve on the branch leadership team helping to ensure member satisfaction and retention.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Responsible for assisting the Branch Operations Director in recruiting, training, and supervising Health Coaches and Personal Trainers. Coordinates employee development and recognition program(s).  Create, publish, and oversee staff schedules. Assigns all new clients to trainers and manages the member packages and hours worked by the PT.  Communicate with new members to schedule Wellness/Egym orientation. Assess the needs of the branch for daily operations such as cleanliness of the branch, cleaning supplies and maintenance issues. Communicate any concerns with the Branch Operations Director. Assess wellness area equipment and maintenance needs by walking the branch daily and inspecting equipment in need of repair and advising the maintenance staff of needs, following up as needed. Serve on the branch leadership team by participating in staff meetings and serving as Manager on Duty as needed. Assists the team in providing a positive experience for our members ensuring satisfaction and engagement As part of branch leadership, plans, organizes, and attends community and member events as part of awareness and recruitment strategy. Addresses member concerns and resolves issues punctually with empathy, professionalism, and respect. Supervisors and administrators will:  • Follow employee's and volunteers' screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk.  • Provide employees and volunteers with ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk.  • Provide employees and volunteers with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with children and teens.  • Require employees and volunteers to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.QualificationsQualifications: At least 2 years of related experience in customer service, wellness or community engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
